As we bring 2022 to a close and start our winter break, I just wanted to express how extremely proud I am of the growth and progress we have made in 2022.
Since our doors first opened, we have worked tirelessly to create a welcoming and inclusive community for students of all ages and abilities. We have focused on building a strong foundation of respect, discipline, and perseverance, and have seen our students blossom both inside and outside the dojang. Especially with the unexpected difficulties from the pandemic.
One of the highlights of 2022 has been our success in the tournaments we participated in. Gaining medals for almost every participant in forms and/or sparring and our successful buddy week. I am happy to share the kuk sool hapkido to everyone willing and hopefully provide them a good understanding of the martial arts lifestyle.
Another area of growth for our school has been in the number of students we have been able to serve. We have welcomed some new faces this year and have seen many of our students achieve their goals, whether it be earning a new belt, competing in tournaments, or simply becoming more confident and self-assured. These are just small steps as we build our dojang!!
But perhaps the most gratifying aspect of our growth has been the sense of community that has developed within our school. Our students and parents have formed strong bonds, and we have become a place where people can come to find support, friendship, and a sense of belonging. Building community is one of the most important and influential things martial arts does for its local community.
As we journey into 2023, we are filled with excitement and hope for what the next year will bring. We are committed to continuing to provide top-quality instruction and a positive, welcoming environment for all of our participants, and we look forward to watching them grow and succeed in the years ahead. Here's to building our legacy within Elk Grove and your's within your selves. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
